Sanding Marks
Sanding marks from the substrate or primer become visible after the paint surface has dried.

Cause:
- Incorrect primer preparation: insufficient amount of filler or low-quality filler, and sandpaper that is too coarse.
- Poor sanding tools or incorrect sanding technique.
- Topcoat layer is too thin.
- Sanding flat surfaces without a sanding block.
- Primer layer too thick before applying topcoat and insufficient drying time for the primer.
- Incorrect preparation of the old paint surface.
Correction:
- Sand with very fine sandpaper and polish the surface afterwards.
- If the scratches are deep, sand down the paint and repeat the process.
