Uneven Color, Color Variation

The painted surface shows irregularities, such as streaks or patches with lighter or darker shades.

Cause:

1. Poor pigment distribution: insufficient mixing of different paint components, incorrect viscosity.
2. Uneven spray layer thickness: in areas where the paint layer is too thick, pigments can move and cause color floating.
3. Poor spraying technique: incorrect overlap, spray pattern too close to the surface, or incorrect angle between the spray gun and the surface (the most common cause).
4. Dirty spraying tools.
5. Incorrect nozzle or spray pressure.

Correction:

• Allow the painted surface to dry properly, sand and respray.
