Compatibility and Mixing
Candy colors are compatible with most solvent-based basecoat and topcoat systems. You can choose the painting system that best suits your needs. However, always perform a test spray before starting a larger project.
- Candy concentrate is mixed 8:1 with a binder or 1K clear coat
- After that, the mixture is thinned according to the manufacturer's instructions
- Recommendation: Mipa 000 Clear + BC thinner (thinning ratio 2:1)
- Mix the product thoroughly before use
Application and Result
Candy painting is based on layering, which directly affects the final color.
- Recommended number of coats: 4–6 coats
- The shade gets darker with each additional layer
- Paint parts individually to achieve an even result
